Shoplifter brings her own bags to cart stolen goods off www.privateofficer.com

A Brunswick woman faces felony theft charges after she allegedly stole over $1,000 in merchandise from the Sears store at Francis Scott Key Mall on Friday, Maryland State Police report.
A trooper was called to the store about 2:30 p.m. after witnesses saw a woman load numerous items into a shopping cart over a one-hour period.

The woman put several of the items into Sears shopping bags which she had brought to the store with her, bypassed numerous cash registers and left the store without making any effort to pay for the merchandise, police said.
Arlene Kay Spring, 46, of the 600 block of East Eighth Street, Brunswick, was arrested and charged with theft over $500, a felony in Maryland.

Police said the items she stole included power tools and clothing.

The combined total value was $1,137.86. Police recovered all the stolen merchandise.

Spring was taken into police custody and taken to the detention center for booking where she was later released on bond.
