An enraged customer at a Cambridge computer store broke the shop’s front door and ran down a security officer in his car this past Saturday afternoon.
Police said an unknown white male accompanied by a small child demanded that the staff at the Micro Center at 730 Memorial Drive repair his computer immediately.
An enraged customer at a Cambridge computer store broke the shop’s front door and ran down a security officer in his car this past Saturday afternoon.
Police said an unknown white male accompanied by a small child demanded that the staff at the Micro Center at 730 Memorial Drive repair his computer immediately.
According to a police report, when an employee told the man they couldn’t repair his computer that day, he became angry and started to leave the store. Before he did, though, police said he grabbed a shopping cart and rammed it into the front door, damaging the door and security sensor.
Police said a security officer working for Micro Center followed the man outside into the parking lot to confront him about the damage. When he did, the man began revving the engine of his red Subaru Hatchback, and struck the security officer in the leg with the car before speeding off.
The security officer, according to police, wasn’t seriously hurt, and refused medical attention from responding officers.
Police have only a partial description of the suspect. He is, according to the report, a white male between the ages of 30 and 50.
