The Uniondale math teacher charged with exposing himself to a 13-year-old boy in a bathroom in Roosevelt Field Mall last weekend told detectives he had done so many times before, police said Monday.
During an interrogation, David Martz, 31, of Levittown, said he had exposed himself on other occasions in the same bathroom at the mall and in other public rest.rooms, police said. Martz does not have a criminal record."He indicated that he has strong sexual feelings toward young men," Det. Lt. Raymond Cote, commanding officer of the Nassau Third Squad, said at a news conference Monday. "He told my detectives that he's done this before. Unfortunately, he was not uncomfortable with that .
The latest victim, who was at the mall with his family, entered the bathroom at about 2 p.m. Saturday, Cote said. While he was at a urinal, he noticed the man next to him was staring at him and became uncomfortable, Cote said."While he [the victim] was washing his hands, Mr. Martz intentionally turned around and masturbated while staring at him," Cote said. The boy rushed out and Martz followed, asking if he wanted to "go somewhere," Cote said.

Security officials detained Martz until police arrested him.
Martz pleaded not guilty to endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of public lewdness at his arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead, court officials said. He posted bail later that day.The married father of two has taught in the Uniondale school district for more than eight years, police said.
The district said in a statement that Martz, a math teacher at Turtle Hook Middle School on Jerusalem Avenue, was reassigned to his house Monday and barred from entering school grounds.Martz, who has also worked for 13 years for the Boys and Girls Club of Oyster Bay-East Norwich, was suspended without pay from club facilities."The organization was deeply disturbed," co-president Roger Bahnik said in a statement.
No one ever complained to the club about Martz, Bahnik said.
